The outdoor space was formed in different levels by using pedestals covered by plaster. Some of the volumes, especially when they are around trees, have been used as benches with cushioned seating, reclaiming the past season.
The layout development is based on the kitchen placement on the only pre-existing building. Large wall openings have been left, so different angles of the kitchen can be visualised from the largest outdoor section of the restaurant; exposing the exceptional chef manoeuvres while preparing the recipes.
The application of the materials followed a logic determined by the piece form, regard to whether it is surface or volume. Thus, on the one side white has been used for volumes; white wood or white concrete. On the other side, on the surfaces we can find a blend of natural handcrafted special materials with intense textures.
Moreover irregular plaques made of stones, similar to those that are used in the courtyards and alleys of villages in Greece, were chosen to apply at many areas of the floor. Furthermore, the pergolas were constructed by reeds known as a traditional Greek material of the coast.
Regarding the lighting, the functional pieces go on in a minimalist style. In contrary, decorative handcrafted lighting, like the handcrafted baskets woven from reeds, has been added to create a more delightful atmosphere.
The patterns of the fabrics originated in Greek villages complement and flow within the overall ambient of the space.
